| The role of the Marion County Humane Society: To provide a safe and humane sheltering facility for animals. To assure proper placement of homeless animals by adoption or by use of qualified rescue groups; To promote spay/neutering and responsible pet ownership. Most of our animals come from a bad past which may include abuse, neglect and/or abandonment; this is why we are so particular about who our animals go home with. If you would like to adopt a companion animal, one that will be part of your family, please come and visit us. UPDATE: Beauty (our former "Happy Tail" story)
needs a Forever Home again. Beauty was thrown
from a car and we were able to pay for her surgery
through generous donations. She was adopted, but
her owner is not able to keep her. Our Beauty is
searching for her forever home again.
