Do you have an hour to spare during your busy week? Come on down to the shelter and walk a dog
or cuddle a kitten. It'll do your heart good and help us socialize the animals.  Your time is well spent -
the animals appreciate any time you have to give, and the more they are socialized, the more
adoptable they become.  It's win-win for man and beast!
Click here to print out a volunteer
application, then bring it with you to the shelter!  (Click here for directions to the shelter.) Or email
us at
admin@mchswv.com for information on volunteering.

Supplies Needed:
The shelter currently has
plenty of dry dog food.
Please spread the word  to
stop sending more for
now. Instead, we are in
desperate need of
cat
litter
, detergent, collars
(especially small collars)
and leashes, moist food,
and
kitten and puppy
food
.  We also love to
leave bones or rawhides
for the dogs when we tuck
them in at night - so send
some in if you can!

Foster an Animal!
Would you consider fostering an animal in your home until a run becomes available!  Sometimes this only takes a few
days, or it may be longer commitment.  The Shelter works with foster families to cover expenses in case there needs to
be any veterinary care.  Currently we need homes for pregnant and nursing cats and kittens.  Keeping newborn kittens
away from the shelter until they are old enough to receive vaccinations helps to keep them healthy.  Other times, we
need a quiet place for an animal recovering from surgeries or procedures.  Because we are a no-kill shelter, we often
have to turn animals away when our cages are full.  This is a great opportunity for the animal lover who is hesitant to
make the long-term commitment of adoption!  If you are interested please contact us:
