| The Marion County Humane Society Longaberger Basket Bingo is a Huge Success! |
MCHS hosted a Longaberger Basket Bingo in March under the leadership of our
fundraising chairperson, Lisa Boyce. Lisa throws quite a party and all had a wonderful
time. As volunteers worked the doors at the Knights of Columbus, they became
nervous that we were down to our last couple of tickets. Would we run out of tickets
to sell? What a great worry to have!! Thankfully, we were able to accommodate all
who came to the door and we had a day full of good times and lucky winners! The
baskets were beautiful and many door prizes were given out between baskets. The
biggest winners were the animals as we pulled in nearly $7000 for the shelter!!

Lisa did it again! Under the leadership of our fundraising
chairperson, Lisa Boyce, the Marion County Humane Society hosted a
day of good food and good company at Christopher's in Industrial
Park. The pasta passed the scrutiny of many regular spaghetti dinner
visitors - it was delicious! And the day was filled with good times and
laughter. An added bonus was the money that everyone helped raise
for the animals. Thanks to Christophers for offering their building,
their staff and their delicious food!
