Saturday, June 28th, 2008 the Marion County Humane Society joined with Purina
started to set up it stopped and the sun came out.   Just as we were packing up it
started raining again.   Purina's Nestle the Bunny was there to join in the fun as
well as many of our wonderful pets.   Purina company had many giveaways and
prizes that day.  We had several people interested in our animals and one was
adopted that day!  We also had a few volunteers forms filled out.  We will be the
first in 2009 to use the Purina's new Van. We were the first Shelter last year to be
invited to join with Purina at Wal Mart; now we will be the first with the new van.
It will actually go to the Shelter and pick up the animals and bring them to Wal
Mart.  We are very excited about this for this will be the first Van in West Virginia
and we will be the grand opening Shelter for the VAN!!

It was a "Pink Ladies Night Out" for Breast Cancer
Research
The Marion County Humane Society was invited to attend "Pink Ladies Night
Out" at Middletown Mall in support of Breast Cancer Research.  One of our
cats, Bonnie, along with many of our kittens had a late night.  It was a
wonderful night with old and new friendships, many laughs and a lot of
shopping.
