Supporting Marion County's Only No-Kill Shelter
Marion County Humane Society:
Providing shelter for homeless pets and promoting respect for humanity, animals and the
environment.
The role of the Marion County Humane Society:
To provide a safe and humane sheltering facility for animals. To assure proper placement of
homeless animals by adoption or by use of qualified rescue groups; To promote
spay/neutering and responsible pet ownership. Most of our animals come from a bad past
which may include abuse, neglect and/or abandonment; this is why we are so particular
about who our animals go home with. If you would like to adopt a companion animal, one
that will be part of your family, please come and visit us.

Our shelter always has a large
number of unwanted cats and

adopting two?  (Ask us about

are twice the fun - but often
